Your Twenties

I stole this from a friend a few years ago, and have no idea where she got it.. It's such a good read!

They call it the "Quarter-life Crisis." It is when you
stop going along with the crowd and start realizing
that there are many things about yourself that you
didn't know and may not like. You start feeling
insecure and wonder where you will be in a year or
two, but then get scared because you barely know where
you are now. You start realizing that people are
selfish and that, maybe, those friends that you
thought you were so close to aren't exactly the
greatest people you have ever met, and the people you
have lost touch with are some of the most important
ones. What you don't recognize is that they are
realizing that too, and aren't really cold, catty,
mean or insincere, but that they are as confused as
you.
You look at your job... and it is not even close
to what you thought you would be doing, or maybe you
are looking for a job and realizing that you are going
to have to start at the bottom and that scares you.
Your opinions have gotten stronger. You see what
others are doing and find yourself judging more than
usual because suddenly you realize that you have
certain boundaries in your life and are constantly
adding things to your list of what is acceptable and
what isn't. One minute, you are insecure and then the
next, secure. You laugh and cry with the greatest
force of your life. You feel alone and scared and
confused. Suddenly, change is the enemy and you try
and cling on to the past with dear life, but soon
realize that
the past is drifting further and further
away, and there is nothing to do but stay where you
are or move forward. You get your heart broken and
wonder how someone you loved could do such damage to
you. Or you lie in bed and wonder why you can't meet
anyone decent enough that you want to get to know
better. Or maybe you love someone but love someone
else too and cannot figure out why you are doing this
because you know that you aren't a bad person. One
night stands and random hook ups start to look cheap.
Getting wasted and acting like an idiot don't seem as
fun. You go through the same emotions and questions
over and over, and talk with your friends about the
same topics because you cannot seem to make a
decision. You worry about loans, money, the future and
making a life for yourself... and while winning the
race would be great, right now you'd just like to be a
contender! What you may not realize is that everyone
reading this relates to it. We are in our best of
times and our worst of times, trying as hard as we can
to figure this whole thing out

Josie Maran Bear Naked Wipes

I got a sample of these from Sephora with my Beauty Insider points. They're extremely soft and remove every trace of makeup, and are gentle enough to use on your eyes. They're pure, toxin free, cruelty free, biodegradable, and made with love. The wipes have also earned Sephora's "Natural Seal" (standards can be found at http://sephora.com/browse/templates/popNatural.jhtml). Plus they come in cute packaging. I absolutely love them, and knowing part of the proceeds to go protect polar bears? They're definitely my new makeup wipes of choice!

Just a quick haul..

Juicy Couture skinny jeans

Aveda's Confixor liquid gel- LOVE this stuff!

Cotton Thermal V-neck Sweater in blonde heather
Cotton Cashmere Wrap Sweater in light grey heather

Beauty Product Gripe

As much as I love that moisturizer.. And my new favorite foundation (review to come!).. I hate that you can't open the bottles. If you squeeze out too much product, you have to use it or lose it, there is no opening the container and putting the excess back. Which I'm sure is for sanitary reasons, (or so you have to buy more sooner!) but it bugs me a lot. That is all ;)

New Favorite Moisturizer

Clean & Clear Finishes Pore Perfecting Moisturizer with SPF15.. LOVE it! I love the fact that it's oil free, love the fact that it has an SPF in it, love the fact that it makes my skin feel super moisturized, and *really* love how it makes my skin look! It's definitely one of the best drug-store finds I've found yet, I highly recommend it.

What's in my bag?

The bag I'm currently carrying is a Cole Haan. Cute story: I can *never* find a cute brown purse I love, so my sister sent me one of hers to use for awhile. Isn't it cute?!

Mini Haul 8/10

So, I picked up a few things at Target this afternoon that I'm pretty impressed with so I thought I'd share...

Nivea body- Smooth Sensation. It has ginkgo, shea butter and vitamin E. Love it. It absorbs quickly and leaves your skin feeling very moisturized, not at all sticky or greasy. I love the pump also, the perfect amount of lotion comes out smoothly. Highly recommend!

Olay Body Wash Plus Spa Exfoliating Ribbons. Love the microbeads. One of my favorite body washes. LOVE the way it smells and makes your skin feel!

L'oreal Extra-Intense liquid pencil eyeliner. Haven't used it for a look just yet, but did a swatch on my hand when I got it home, and it goes on *smooth*. I'm super excited to use it, and will do a review afterwards!
